TL;DR — Your data stays on your device.
DevToolbox is a free developer tools hub. All tools run entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your data. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking cookies. Your code and data never leave your machine.
1. Information Collection
DevToolbox does not collect any personal information or usage data. Specifically:
- No personal data (name, email, IP address) is collected
- No usage analytics or behavioral tracking is performed
- No form submissions or user inputs are recorded
- No cookies are used for tracking or identification
- No accounts or registration are required to use any tool
All 40+ developer tools — including the code beautifier, JSON formatter, regex tester, diff viewer, and others — process your data exclusively within your browser. Your input is never sent to any server.
2. Data Storage
DevToolbox does not maintain any databases, user accounts, or server-side storage. The only browser storage mechanism used is:
localStorage — A single key is stored locally in your browser to remember your preferred theme setting (dark or light mode). This data is never transmitted anywhere and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
No session storage, IndexedDB, or any other client-side storage mechanisms are used beyond the theme preference described above.
3. Third-Party Services
DevToolbox minimizes external dependencies. The following third-party services are used:
Google Fonts
The site loads the Geist font family from fonts.googleapis.com. When you visit DevToolbox, your browser makes a request to Google's font servers to download the typeface files. This is the only external network request made by the site. Google's privacy policy for this service is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Hosting (Vercel)
DevToolbox is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel may process standard server access logs (IP address, browser user-agent, timestamps) as part of delivering the site to your browser. DevToolbox itself does not configure or access any of these logs. Vercel's privacy policy is available at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
No Analytics or Tracking
DevToolbox does not use Google Analytics, Plausible, Mixpanel, or any other analytics platform. No tracking pixels, fingerprinting scripts, or advertising networks are present on the site.
4. Updates to This Policy
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the site or applicable regulations. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date at the top.
Since DevToolbox does not collect email addresses or maintain user accounts, we are unable to notify users directly of policy changes. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
